Roland Chocarro

Owner of Secret Spot Surf Shop, the Surfworks factory, and Roland Surfboards, Roland Chocarro has been shaping surfboards in Southern California for more than 20 years. His shapes are currently being surfed up and down the coast of California, in Argentina, Japan, and as far away as Guam.

Under the roof of the Surfworks factory, Roland has overseen production aspects of many legendary surfboard brands including Stewart, Rhyn Noll, Harbour, and Irwin, and is now a shaping partner in Fuego California Surfboards.

"In my 20-plus years of shaping, I've shaped every type of performance board, from fishes to guns and everything in between. I've even shaped kneeboards and kitesurfing boards. Regardless of the model, what all boards I shape have in common is my commitment and determination to provide a super-quality board at a fair price -- so everyone can enjoy regular, awesome sessions!" — Roland Chocarro
Jennifer Holbrook

Originally a Florida skate and beach kid, Jennifer has been developing and honing her surfboard design/shaping skills at the Surfworks factory over the past six years.

Her experience instructing surfers gave her the insight to recognize several gaps in current surfboard design, and she's made it her mission to take shaping further to fill those gaps. Her story has been chronicled in the March/April 2002 issue of Sports Illustrated for Women.

Jennifer is particularly adept at identifying the board needs of women and intermediate-level surfers, but can design a ride to satisfy any surfing style or wave-condition.
